Concept Sketch

This is just a concept sketch, which is how I usually start off my ideas, but roughly sketching it quick on paper and labeling how I want the ilustration to look once it's finalized.

This is actually a dress that i'll be making for my mother to wear to my school fashion show and since my mom looks so young in real life and has a nice figure, she's able to wear high-end garments and the dramatics.

The dress is pretty basic, but the twist is the hem which has 2 large pleated inserts which will sort of bubble out of the sleek finish and give the dress a subtle movement. Even though the whole thing is simple and basic, the fabric is very dramatic and is a gold and black satin brocade with lotus designs all over. Very expensive as well. She'll wear this with black panty hose for sophistication and open toe platform heels.
